1. Tell me about yourself.
Home page.
2. What are your plans after graduation?
I hope to move on to a conservatory or a big university in the city somewhere. I hope to get a masters degree in vocal performance. take a year off and study the world, study the languages and the cultures. then bloom into a classical opera star bringing the theatre back for the next generation.
3. What one thing do you need to improve on?
i need to desperately improve on my time management. somehow, there is never enough time to do things. and since my life is so sporatic, whenever i tend to sit down for a moment, that moment turns into 3 hours without my notice. very little gets done around my house.
4. What are your weaknesses? strengths?
My weakness is me being so naive. i accept so easily, and trust without doubt. and very often allow my emotions to get in the way. but on the flip side of that fault, it allows me to become a better artist, and really let my emotions go to connect with the audience and tell my story as if it was my own through music. But that is not me all the time, i tend to have the ability to suddenly shut out every emotion known to man and be strictly professional, analytic and strong for those around me.
5. What qualities make you the right applicant for the job?
I am very loyal, and determined. and besides my poor time management. I seem to make all my deadlines. i am juggling a thousand plates but all the effort is behind the scenes. i am forgiving and accepting and try to look at the big pictures instead of just the small task at hand.
6. When did you decide you wanted to work in your chosen field and why?
It came to me at the beginning of this summer as i realized even though i would enjoy and thrive in the medical field, music was my true passion. and i would never get the same feeling walking into the hospital, as i do when i walk into the theater. as if it was my home. a true feeling of belonging.
7. What does it mean to work as part of a team?
Distributing even work loads and being accountable and responsible for your own actions. being honest and unbiased and nonjudgmental.
8. What motivates you to tackle and complete a task?
Understanding that that task isnt going to complete itself with you just staring at it.
9. How do you handle stress?
I make lists. i am a chronic list maker. i step back, and look at the big picture. map out how long it will take to complete everything i need to do, look at things with top priority and then handle things one by one, as to complete them as thoroughly and completely as i can before i move on to the next one. making lists helps suppress my overwhelming anxiety and stress.
10. What do you think is the number one problem facing people your age? What do you think should be done about this problem?
I think people are way to caught up in all the frivolous drama and things that dont really matter in the long run. things like your job, school, college applications, and personal relationships are things worth time and effort on. I find it very frustrating for myself as i am more mature for my age, credit to my parents as they were mature for their ages as well. when ive seen poverty at its lowest. ive seen God work miracles. Ive handled a bank account since 6th grade. I have ambitions, and i have a deeper sense of life and more curiosity to find out my meaning here on this earth. I think in order to fix this problem of...carelessness teenagers tend to have, is to feed their self worth. and help them become aware of the bigger world out there, beyond the walls of this highschool.
